Why You Should Visit Disney in October
Everyone knows Disney World is a top family vacation spot. Planning is key to get the most out of your trip. These are the 5 reasons why we do Disney in late fall.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party– This party is fun for the whole family. It is a special event held at the park from late August to November 1st. There is an additional fee for the nighttime party, however there are only a certain number of tickets, which means, less crowds. There is also trick or treating throughout the park. Cinderella’s castle is lit up hauntingly awesome! The fireworks as well as the music played will surely exceed your expectations. Dress up in costumes to be in true Halloween spirit. Such an amazing party which you should add to your “must do” list!
The Weather– It can still be hot, but usually much more bearable than in the summer months. Tee shirts and shorts will still be comfortable to wear around the park. When the sun goes down the nights are gorgeous.
No Lines- With school being back in session and just being the beginning of the school year, many families with school aged children, do not usually travel to Disney during this time. The longest we had to wait to get on rides was about 10 minutes but usually less than that, without using the FastPass+.
Christmas In Disney– Visit on November 1st (and after) the entire park magically switches from Halloween festivities to Christmas. The entire park is beautifully decorated for the holidays. You get the best of both worlds. The setting is a wonderful place to get that family photo for your holiday cards.
Flight Prices- Avoiding school breaks and holiday seasons, airline travel can be much more affordable. As a family of 5, airline tickets can make or break being able to go on vacation. We usually travel on either Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays to get the best deals.
