This is an easy, delicious, slow cooker chicken recipe. Perfect for busy families. The best part is it only requires 7 ingredients, probably all of which you already have.
If you have been following my blog you have probably already figured out I love a simple slow cooker recipe. Chicken seems to be a go to for our family.
Ingredients For Garlic and Brown Sugar Chicken:
8-10 chicken thighs
4 Cloves of Fresh Garlic – minced
1/2 cup of Dark Brown Sugar
2 tbsp of Low Sodium Soy Sauce
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Use 4-5 tablespoons of Olive Oil in non-stick frying pan. Get warm over medium to hot heat on stove top.
Place each chicken thigh, skin side down into hot frying pan.
Let cook until skin is nice and golden brown – 7/8 minutes. Then add half of the minced garlic. Continue to cook with chicken for about 1 minute.
Add brown sugar and soy sauce to your slow cooker. Then add the browned chicken and juices to the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
That is it, so simple. My family loves this slow cooker chicken recipe. It’s sweet but yet the soy sauce evens out the sweetness.
I hope you’ll give this recipe a try and tell me what you think.
