Perfect Family Vacation: Red Jacket Mountain View
The Red Jacket Resort – Mountain View Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire was kind and generous enough to host us for our stay. This post only shares my open and honest opinions of our family vacation. My opinions are always MY OWN.
Our family has been going to the Red Jacket Resort in North Conway for many years, way before the two little guys were born. It is an amazing place for families to relax, unwind and make memories together.
If you haven’t been to the Red Jacket Mountain View in a while, well there is no better time to go than now. They have recently spent $1.5 million on renovations. With all updated guest rooms, common areas and hallways this resort is beautiful. As comfortable as it was before, it is even better now. I will have a follow up post soon sharing all of the amazing renovations. Be sure to check it out!
My goal when we take the kids away is to be able to relax. I feel like we are constantly on the go in everyday life. I take time away time to connect, do things (activities) as we feel like it and at our own pace. The Red Jacket has so many activities for the kids to keep them busy all while my husband and I can just sit back and relax. We definitely enjoyed a few adult beverages while sitting by the pool while our little guys swam and competed in a cannonball contest.
Family vacation favorites at the Red Jacket:
is to go on the horse and carriage ride. A short (maybe 10-15 minutes) horse drawn carriage ride around the property. The horses are beautiful and a really unique experience. The boys really like petting the horses too.
When I asked the boys what they’re favorite part of our family vacation was, they said the arcade and roasting marshmallows every night. Sounds about right for a 4 & 6 year old.
Then they remembered Kahuna Laguna.
An indoor water park right on the property of the Red Jacket Mountain View. As a parent, I loved this too! It is perfect in size. Not too big to get overwhelmed or lose the kids, but big enough to keep them busy for hours. We had a blast on the water slides. Next year the boys will be big enough to go on them alone, but they were really fun. They have a big huge bucket, the Bamboo Bay Adventure Tower, that will dump water on innocent bystanders below it. I had to take a video of this.
Be sure to check back for my next post showing all of the amazing updates this resort has done. I will also be including why it is a great place to stay in the fall and winter. Hint – Foliage, Santa and skiing, oh my!
