Making Ornaments For The Grinch Movie
The Grinch Is Coming!
The original Grinch movie is one of my all time favorites and I can’t wait to experience this new one with my boys. What a great way to kick off the holiday season in the theaters then with The Grinch Movie!
November 9, 2018 this movie will be released in theaters.
To get in the spirit by making some Christmas ornaments for a tribute to the movie. I’ll admit, I did not let the boys help me with these. I wanted to get them done quickly and since there are a few details they wouldn’t be able to do, I made them alone. I do however have other ornaments ready for us to make together.
For just a few dollars and a trip to my local AC Moore these were easy and fun to make. Each plastic ornament was $1.00, the 24 pack of glitter was $5.99 and I already had everything else but the yellow Sharpie Paint Pen which was $2.99.
These were all of the supplies I needed for the Grinch:
- Mod Podge Glue
- Sharpie markers and paint pens
- Plastic Ornaments
- Glitter Glue – which I didn’t end up using
Easy Step By Step:
I first lined the inside of the ornament with the Mod Podge glue. I then placed the ornament upside down to allow the excess to flow back into the bottle of Mod Podge. This part took roughly 10-15 minutes.
After that, I poured a good amount of the green glitter into the ornament and shaking it all around for coverage of the entire inside.
Final step, I drew on the red heart and the Grinch’s face on each ornament. Then let them dry overnight. That’s it! Simple, quick, easy ways to bring a favorite holiday classic to your tree.
he thought, doesn’t come from a store,
maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more!”
