DIY Mother’s Day Gift Idea
Looking for a great DIY Mother’s Day gift idea? I saw a picture of one of these shadow box crafts and fell in love. So easy to make and doesn’t break the bank! You can make it to suit your own needs and have it be very meaningful and a keepsake.
What you’ll need for a beautiful Mother’s Day gift:
Sticks & Stones
Accessories – decorative touches of your choice.
I gathered little sticks from around our yard and went to the beach to collect the rocks.
I went to AC Moore and picked up the shadow box (used a 40% off coupon) as well as the butterflies and family wording from the scrap booking section. I paid a total of $19.48.
I already own a glue gun and the glue sticks. I honestly don’t know how I lived all these years before owning a glue gun.
Placing the sticks around to make a tree formation, I realized placing them and then using the glue was the best option.
Once the tree was made, I then started on my “rock family” five in total, which represents our crazy family. I then secured them with the glue to look as though they were sitting on a log.
Finally putting a tiny bit of glue on the butterflies and the family quote and I was done! Aside from gathering the sticks and stones and purchasing the few items I needed, putting this together took less than 10 minutes.
There you have it! An easy DIY Mother’s Day gift idea that has meaning. If you decide to make one, I would love to have you forward me a picture.
Wishing all mamas, step mamas, fur baby mamas, and grand mamas a very happy Mother’s Day!
